Etymology

Original Description:

The shell is lenticulate, keeled, striated, whitish, brown-marked, largely umbilicate, printed on the keel above and below; five bends; aperture angled, grooved within; with a sharp lip. Hab. Cumberland Mts., near Jasper Tenn.-- Dr. Currey.
